Does anyone else feel like 2012 flew by? I'm not sure if it was all the fun we had the first half of the year then being so sick the second half, but it seems like a dream/nightmare. Unfortunately I didn't blog much so there isn't much as far as my blog goes to link back too. Which is sad because when I started this post I thought of looking through the year and seeing big things/events to blog about, and there aren't many that I blogged about, even though we did lots of fun things. So hopefully this year I can be as good as previous years.
Rather than talk about each month I will just list a few highlights of 2012!
-I started my weight loss journey in January, losing 26 lbs by April. (My goal was 32 lbs, but a little peanut started growing before planned so dieting was kinda put on the back burner! ;)
-We went to the Bahamas in early April with Drew's travel and tourism students, and Drew's brother and sister and their spouses tagged along as chaperones. It was so much fun. I want to go back every year...
-Luke turned terrible 2 and has become such a monster through out the year. His dad's nickname growing up was "Drew Monster" so I knew it was only a matter of time. But he is an adorable monster who is only monster 50% of the time, so it's okay. He is somewhat potty trained but having problems still pooping in his underwear. I'm hoping it's just from the holiday break and traveling and he'll jump back on soon.
-We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary, I turned 24 and Drew turned 27.
-In July we went to San Diego to the Zoo and Sea World. It was such a fun family vacation and was the last good week before getting extremely sick with pregnancy!
-August is a complete blur because I seriously slept through the whole month hooked up to my zofran pump. I never thought it would end, but looking back now, it went by fast!
-September we went to Disneyland with my family and had so much fun. We thought Luke would be a little too young to remember or care, but he still talks about it and loves looking at his map. He always asks if we can "go back soon". Fortunately we already have a trip planned as chaperones of another trip for Drew's school in May! ;)
-October we found out we are expecting a little girl and we couldn't be more excited. Luke already gives his baby sister kisses and asks about her. Not sure if he really gets it, but he seems to, somewhat.
-We spent Thanksgiving with my family in St. George and it was a great weekend other than my pre-term labor starting. Since then I have been on a med to slow contractions and it's slowly progressing, but the key word there is SLOWLY. We are keeping a close eye on baby and my uterus. ;)
-Last week we returned from a week-long post-holiday get away (haha) to Washington. Kelsea (Drew's brother's wife) is also pregnant, about 15 weeks and on top of her morning sickness, she had bronchitis. So unfortunately we didn't party as hard as we usually do. ;) But we got plenty of Taco Time in....(seriously I think we ate there 5 times..because I LOVE it, especially when I'm pregnant, and we don't have one here.) and we saw Les Mis and played games and relaxed! It was a good break.
I have high hopes for 2013, as I do every year. And because I'm very blessed with all my loved ones and my job and a new little one on the way, I know it's going to be amazing!
