Year 2011

2011 was quite the year at our house. We were able to do so many fun things and grow as a family. We realized that 2011 was the first full year (January-December) that we were in ONE house without moving. That's big for us. We've lived in so many different apartments and houses since we've been married, and now we finally have our home! Here are the things we will always remember about 2011.

January:
Our first full month in our new house! Luke started crawling and making big messes :)

February:
Luke got his first tooth and learned to fake smile :) Drew and Kylie celebrated Valentine's Day at Tournament of the Kings

March:
This was one of my favorite months of the year because Luke was in SUCH a fun stage. He learned to pull himself up/move around the couches. He got his second bottom tooth. Drew and I got to go the Jazz game on our trip to Heber!

April:
CRAZY month! We took our first real family vacation to San Diego and Sea World. It was so much fun! We also celebrated my 23rd birthday, and Easter!

May:
Another crazy month. :) We went to the wax museum with Mal and Dayton. Drew and Ky celebrated our 4 year anniversary. Kylie and Luke were able to go up to Heber for Gavin's graduation for a week. Drew and Kylie went to Disneyland for the senior all night party. LUKE TURNED 1! And we got our first family car!

June:
This summer was so fun having Drew off work. We started off our summer festivities with a camping trip with the Jones family to Capitol Reef National Park. We had such a good time and grew even closer as a family. We even got matching t-shirts! ;) Hopefully this is a new tradition! We then went to Heber for a few days before heading to Moses Lake at the end of June. Drew and I decided to drive the 14 hours to Moses Lake. (Which wasn't THAT bad but we won't do it again. Next time..we fly.) But it was such a fun week. Luke started walking while we were there, too!

July:
For the 4th of July we were still in Moses Lake, so we had a BBQ with Brandon and Kels and Grandma and Grandpa Harrod. Luke was a little worried about the fireworks but was fine after a while. We celebrated Drew's 25th birthday, and just hung out in Vegas the rest of the month!

August:
In August we took one last trip to Heber, and had the Delgado family reunion Luau party before returning to work. Kylie started a new job this month! Luke got his first black eye, too!

September:
This month Kylie's parents baught a house in St. George, so we spent a couple weekends there. Luke got to ride his first horse when we went to Cedar to visit Andi and Mikey! We also celebrated Drew's mom's 50th and went to Lion King at Mandalay Bay. It was so great!

October:
This month, Luke had surgery to get tubes in his ears. He was Elmo for Halloween, and we had our annual Murder Mystery party in St. George. Alice in Wonderland themed! We also bought new appliances.

November:
Garrett came home from his mission! Drew went on the annual Charger's trip with the Jones boys while Kylie and Luke went to spend the weekend with the girls in St. George. We also went to Knotsberry Farm and Disneyland over Thanksgiving with the Burton/Gatter clan. Great month!

December:
We re-did Luke's room. He loves his ABC wall and cool stripes! We celebrated Christmas in Heber this year and were able to stay a whole week! It was a great holiday (even though there was no snow! Crazy.) We celebrated New Year's with a couple friends and had a quiet night!

What an amazing year! Luke has grown into a little boy and we have so many great memories of 2011. 2012 will be just as (if not more) amazing! Can't wait for the future.

Christmas 2011

I know, I know. I'ts been far too long and you have missed us so much! (Okay really, I know you haven't missed us THAT much but I do feel bad for not blogging more often.) December flew by for us as we had a different Christmas party every single weekend and then were able to spend about a week in Heber over Christmas. It was such a fun month and a great Christmas! Drew had decided last year that he hated driving in the snow SO much that he would rather fly this year to Heber for Christmas. Oh wait, last year...I'm still thinking it's 2011. Anyway, so we flew to Heber a couple days before Christmas. Luke did really well on the airplane! We had lots of snacks, movies, and toys just in case but he loved looking out the window and turning around to make faces and smile at the people behind us. He kept pointing out the window saying, "sty!" (Sky) He also became OBSESSED with Nightmare Before Christmas and Toy Story in December so we had his Buzz, Woody, and Jack doll on the plane with us. We took an early flight and had to be at the aiprort at 4:45 a.m. Let's just say that's not happening again. Too early, too hard with a teething toddler. (Tongue twister!) But we made it to Heber safely and quickly! The week was full of fun activites, yummy food, and of course some of our favorite people! Friday night before Christmas my parents took all my siblings and our significant others to a stand up comedy show in Provo. One of our close family friends is in it, and it was hilarious! We will definitely be going back! Christmas Eve we went to my aunt and uncles house for a gift exchange, some mexican food, and a nativity! Here are the few pics we got. (We didn't get ONE picture of all the cousins together or all of us siblings together. Which is sad because it's been the first Christmas in 3 years we were all there! And the last for a couple since Gav leaves on his mission next year.)

Christmas Eve

Handsome Boy!!

The nativity...here is a shepherd who didn't participate very well :)

And please don't mind my weird face. I just thought this was cute of Jaylee, Elle, and Maddix playing their parts so well :)

Luke watching the big boys play basketball in the SNOW-LESS back yard. First time my whole life there wasn't snow on Christmas, I swear!

Luke and my cousin's little boy Brodey :)

Christmas morning was really fun with all the kids. Luke was excited about his toys and Drew and I were excited about our gifts to each other as well! Drew got an iPhone, and I got a Kitchen Aide! (Plus lots more...we spoil each other. Though I think that is going to end now that we have a kid to spoil!) Santa told us that he left Luke's big present (a basketball hoop) at our house in Vegas so we wouldn't have to pack it on the plane. How nice! He was so excited when we got home to yet ANOTHER present.

That's all for now. Next up...Favorite memories from 2011 and what we're looking forward to in 2012!! :)
